Won't keep you, just wanted to show you a couple pretty finds that I picked up for $4 each. I discovered an antique shop in Adelaide with non-antique shop prices. Yay! Can't wait to go back there again, was a bit of a shock as it is in a well-to-do suburb. I could have bought a lot more but held back because you can't buy everything can you??!
Sorry I can't tell you the makers because I have gone and packed them away in the shed haven't I! They are awaiting the day I have more room for them. Notice that the tea cup is a bit worn on the handle, I only noticed once I got home. It's frustrating when shops are really dark and you don't notice these things until you get them home. I still love it though. Have a great night, sleep tight!

I would love to have entire set of dishes like the cup & saucer! I don't mind the wear on the handle -- gives it a little character and makes me think of all the of cups of tea it once held and wonder who was holding that cup... :-)
ReplyDeleteI agree, the worn bit adds to its vintage charm!
ReplyDeleteOooh these are beautiful, great finds. I dont mind wear either, totally adds to its charm. Scarlett x
ReplyDeleteI really like the cream pitcher you found!! Hey girlfriend, we may have to start wearing one of those mining helmets with the light on it into these dimly lit shops!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to post comments for days and it has been driving me bonkers. Love your finds, I love the teacup more with the worn handle as it shows it was much loved and not just a show trophy. melx
