My five bucka chair & extension pics

I think this is the longest time that I have had in between posts ever. I have read about other bloggers who have lost their 'blogging mojo' and this is what happened to me. Well... that and just getting busy.

I started a health kick on Monday and had two horrible days of sugar withdrawal. I am a big sweet tooth so it has been a bit of a challenge. So that's my excuse.

But now...I feel good, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, I knew that I would now, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, I feel slightly hungry, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah but I'm getting skinny nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, so good, so good I got veges! Hee Hee, sorry. Just don't wave any carbs under my nose - I may attack without warning.

Not a lot of thrifting going on, but my sister and I did pass a garage sale a week or so ago at around 12:00pm (too late for the best stuff but you never know hey). I picked up this lovely chair that I call my 'five bucka chair' cause of course it cost just $5! Best bit about having an ugly shaggin wagon (station wagon) is that I can chuck lots in the back of it. I still had the pram and the kids bikes in there from earlier but the chair still fit (I knew it would...it HAD to).

Linking up with Club Goodwill No19 (Charm Bracelet Diva) for first time.

Not sure if I should do it up or not, it seems to have  a lot of character like this.

I had no idea what this was (below) when I saw it. Have a guess.

These scales are West German and designed to hang from the wall. $3

This slide projector was $5 and as my Dad used to take a lot of pictures and have them put onto slides I thought this would be an easy way to view them. I know my late father has one of those more modern projectors in the shed that you can hit the button to see one slide after the other (instead of putting one in, taking it out, putting another one in) but hey, this one is cuter!

House update: Hopefully the builders will be handing over next week. There are a few little things here and there that need to be fixed  (oh yeah and big things - a hot water service and waste connection) but nearly all done. We are deciding on paint colours and are actually painting eves this weekend  while the scaffolds are still up (builders are happy with that).

Looking from the hallway into the living area out to the deck.

Looking from just inside the sliding doors (deck area) to the kitchen near the door on the right and the dining area on the left. You can see down the hall way.

Kitchen to the right under the window.

Looking from the kitchen to our existing house.

Our new inground pool, likely to have mozzies soon - oww, stingy.

Night, night!

  1. What's a mozzie? Great finds. I would slap a fresh coat of paint on it and change the seat cover....? Thanks for linking up over at Club G.W. {Goodwill} with Charm Bracelet Diva. It's great to see you there! (And good luck on the renovations/addition,how exciting!)
