Your new caravan is brimming with vintage charm! I love the exclusive aesthetic of this 1970 Franklin. Have you got any plans about renovating it? Kurt Bukowski
Hi Kurt! We are going to do a clean up but not a full restoration. We will get rid of as many dings as we can and give it a paint. Check the gas lines and fix the sink tap as it won't pump water. We will keep the inside as is as the curtains are still good and clean up some areas where the wall water has come off with paint. Thanks for checking out my blog!
if you where wondering the model of this franklin is a caravelle and im the happy oner of a 1968 version witch involves a complete over haul. heres a link to the page of the progress so far. Im the 15 year old mentioned in the thread.http://vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=photo&thread=11293&page=1
Hi! I have actually come across your caravan while Googling. A friend also bought an old Franklin and told me about the numbers on it that tell you the age so yes I found out it is a 1968. We still have not had any time to get stuck into it but should soon. Looking forward to following your story, you remind me of my Dad who did up his Dads old vintage car at the same age as you. :)
This is the best bit, would love you to leave me a Vintage Hello!
